NSBO MEMBER'S LAPEL STICKPIN

A silver-washed alloy lapel pin, in the form of the NSBO emblem, approximately 17mm square. The emblem is comprised of, to the right, a disembodied hand holding upright a hammer with a static swastika to its head, with a partial cogged wheel proceeding to the left, against which is "N.S.B.O." This is a leadership patch for those members of the Bund Deutschen Madel (BDM) who had reached staff positions. This patch was worn on the lightweight white, cotton tunic that was worn in high summer. This is quite a rare piece of Jugend insignia.
