WW1 SPRINGFIELD 1905 BAYONET W/CANVAS SCABBARD US
THIS BAYONET HAS JUST COME FROM A WW1 US MARINES ESTATE AND HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED<CAME WITH OTHER KNIFE I HAVE LISTED.This is a M-1905 Bayonet with the canvass covered wood and rawhide scabbard. The bayonet has no bluing and looks like it never did, has never been sharpened, 16" long blade and the original wood grips have no cracks and are in good condition. The blade is marked "US" and a serial number on one side and "SA", the Ordinance Department's flaming bomb, and the date "1913" on the other. The locking mechanism works flawlessly and there is rust on the guard. The canvass scabbard cover dose have some fading and discoloring and one hole on side but looks solid with no rot. The leather tip is firmly attached with the stitching intact. Originals are hard to find in condition this good.
