WWII GERMAN CLOSE COMBAT CLASP IN BRONZE
Die struck zinc construction clasp with a bronze washed finish. The clasp features a central square panel with a recessed background field with an embossed national eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a canted swastika in it’s talons, positioned above a crossed bayonet and grenade, flanked by four oak-leaves and dual acorns superimpose on a ribbed, horizontal outward, pointing base. The recessed, central, square panel has a blued, magnetic sheet metal, backing plate positioned behind the eagle, bayonet and grenade motif which is held in place by small, crimped side tabs on the reverse. The solid reverse has a solid, soldered, hinge inset into a rectangular recess with raised lips, a broad, tapering, horizontal pin and a heavy soldered catch inset into a circular recess with raised lips all intact. The reverse is well marked with the embossed designer’s name and location, "F.E.C. W. E. Peekhaus Berlin", and the manufacturer’s stylized initials within a rectangular border, "JFS", indicating manufacture by Josef Feix Söhne of Gablonz.
FREIHEIT UND BROT 29 MARZ 1936 TINNIE
Freedom and Bread. This is a very lightweight tinnie designed with a tab on the rear holding a pin, this piece can be worn as a stickpin on a lapel. It is about the size of a United States quarter dollar (.25 cent piece) with a diameter of about just over 1. The tinniesilver in color. The tinnie is in excellent condition.
WWII STAG HANDLE BAYONET EICKHORN
The hilt of this bayonet is still nice and bright, having outstanding nickel plated surfaces. There some plating missing on the mortise button. This plating is nearly 95% and is in near mint condition. The mortise button and lock works fine. This fine hilt is fitted with beautiful genuine stag antler grip plates. The grip plates are retained by steel rivets, having dressed heads on the obverse. The scabbard shell is straight throughout. This shell has outstanding original black paint. The paint on the scabbard is about 85%. There is a black patent leather frog attached. The patent leather shows some wear. The long style blade is a very fine example, having wide fuller construction. A very fine overall example.
