ARMY STANDARD BEARER'S SLEEVE PATCH (RECON)
Super condition, un-issued; the patch is machine woven (BeVo) in three colors: aluminum thread (flatwire), brown thread (Recon branch color), and black thread all woven onto a thin, dark green rayon backing cloth. The insignia portrays two crossed Standards in miniature, with a Triad cluster of oak leaves in aluminum thread woven at the bottom center. The insignia was cut from a stock roll, which makes it essentially a large square of cloth. Excellent condition!
WWII JAPANESE NAVY OFFICERS VISOR CAP
An Imperial Japanese Navy officers visor cap, first introduced in 1905 and used until the end of the Second World War. The caps one-piece dark blue wool crown retains the internal stiffening wire along its edge. The four-piece body, in the same color and material, has seams at each of its cardinal points, with two metal grommet ventilation holes under each side of the crown. The tightly-woven black center band has its seam to the front, over which, and over the forward seam to the body, is a gilt embroidered wreath surrounding a gilt fabric-ringed "button," upon whose convex, dark blue background is fixed a gilt alloy fouled anchor. A five-lobed cherry blossom is fixed over the wreath and "button". The cap has its original chinstrap, finished in black, with dual adjustment sliders, missing one button. The black lacquered visor. Sweatband is complete. Purple silk lining is complete. Sewn to the interior crown is owners name tag . Original, removable, white cover is still attached. Small size . Shows age, use and period wear,Visor needs cleaning and one moth hole on top but overall nice condition.
WWII MAUSER BAYONET WITH PAPERS
WWII Vintage German Bayonet Mauser 98K Scabbard/Frog 44 FNJ Excellent condition for it's age. The bayonet itself is in excellent condition, likely unissued as the blade has not been sharpened. Blade shows only minor scabbard wear and is in beautiful shape. Bakelite plastic grips are also in excellent condition with no cracks and only very minor wear. There is some light rust on exposed metal parts of the grip. The scabbard is in good condition but does also show some small spots of rust, with no dents. Leather frog has a broken strap. Papers from an AAF man, his album is also on my site, numbers on scabbard don't match.
