LW GREEN PITH HELMET
A nice of a lightweight pith helmet, covered with a medium green cloth. The outer brim is trimmed with a light brown leather in perfect condition. The right side has a aluminum tri-color shield. The left side has a LW eagle in GOLD i would think the silver wash has faded and the brass bass is showing. There is a light brown leather chinstrap that is in mint condition. The medium green cloth lined interior is in nice shape with a red dome. It has a light brown leather sweatband that is ink stamped on the underside with the size (57), the manufactures info ( Ke & Co), the date of production ( 1943) . A hard to find pith helmet in very nice shape.
WWII GERMAN POLICE NCO'S COLLAR TABS
Machine woven collar tabs with a orange rayon base with machine woven litzen in bright, silver/aluminum flat-wire threads. The orange base shows through as the branch of service and center stripes and the collar tabs are trimmed in fine, bright, twisted, silver/aluminum cording. The collar tabs are in overall used, condition . Has glue spots to back.
TURKESTANI EM VOLUNTEER'S SHOULDER STRAPS
Second pattern, (Circa May 1943-May 1945), Turkistani volunteers shoulder straps as introduced on May 29TH 1943. Wide, pointed tip, blue/green badge cloth construction slip on shoulder straps with light blue rayon waffenfarbe piping. The bottoms of the shoulder straps are in a combination of field-grey and stone grey wool while the slip on, retaining tongues are in stone grey wool with an olive drab cotton/rayon reinforcement panel machine stitched to the reverse of one and a black rayon reinforcement panel machine stitched to the reverse of the other. The shoulder straps are in overall very great condition with minimal age toning and minor nap wear. The shoulder straps signify a Turkistani volunteer with the rank of, "Freiwilliger", (Volunteer/EM).
KRIEGSMARINE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER CANDIDATES SH
Narrow, pass-through style, administrative officer candidates shoulder cords in silver Russian braiding tarnished gold with gilt washed, stamped sheet metal, Caduceus (two serpents intertwined on a winged Mercurian staff), with two pips indicating administrative service, all mounted on a white wool base. The pass-through end of the shoulder cords have their white wool covered, transverse, wooden, retaining dowels. Some motheing to the back.
